Addiction is “creating a wave of mental illness” among our unhoused individuals, further complicating the solution to homelessness. Now, as spotlighted by Sam Quinones in The Atlantic (October 18, 2021), a new kind of meth is presenting increased dangers to homeless individuals as well as the communities in which they live.
Dr. Christine Grella, Co-Director of UCLA’S Integrated Substance Abuse Programs, who will inform us about current research and approaches to intervention and treatment of addiction.
